I just remembered I still had a couple of albums from our 5-day road trip from California to Illinois. And recently, I finally got the courage to go through all those photos and finally share it here on the blog. :)
We made stops in Las Vegas, and Arizona the first two days. Made a quick tourist trip to the Grand Canyon which I can say is the highlight of the whole trip. It is majestic; Mark and I were filled with awe! Chloe, on the other hand, was not too thrilled about the bus rides (her first ones). Then we drove through New Mexico on day 3 and reached Amarillo, Texas by nightfall and stayed the night in there. Day 4 was spent driving through Oklahoma to Springfield, Missouri. The 5th day was the last stretch, but we made a stop in St. Louis to see the arch, which is also grand! Chloe enjoyed running around the park and exploring the museum under the Arch. An hour after we hit the road again and reached Great Lakes by the end of the day. It was bittersweet to finally be here that time, because we already miss San Diego, but were so glad that we're finally here after five long days on the road :)
